Weddings

St. Luke’s has a warm, intimate feel which makes wedding services very special.  Not only that but the setting of the church, with views over the Moorlands, makes it ideal for photographs.

‘Can I get married at St. Luke’s?’ is a frequently asked question.

Those who live in the parish of Endon or have some historic connection with the church may marry here. You are, therefore, legally entitled to marry at St. Luke’s if:

One (or both) partners live in the parish of Endon or
One (or both) partners were baptised there or
Your parents were married there or
You have predecessors buried there.

Divorcees  may marry at St. Luke’s, if they fulfil the legal criteria, above.  However they must talk this through with the priest who will need to see the Certificate of Divorce Absolute.

If you are thinking of getting married at St. Luke’s please contact Barrie Jackson to make the booking.  NOTE: Please avoid the weekend of the late Spring Bank Holiday at the end of May when the church is being used for Endon Well Dressing Festival.

Wedding Blessings.
At St. Luke’s we also offer the blessing of a marriage following a civil ceremony.

Renewal of Wedding Vows.
Often these are requested at times of a significant anniversary. Also this can be a time of renewal in a marriage.
